Frequently asked questions.

Everything buyers usually ask before the first call — including the questions where the honest answer is “no, KLIKER does not do that”.

The basics

What is KLIKER?

KLIKER is an e-commerce market intelligence and reporting automation platform. It monitors the online market — prices, promotions, availability, assortment, digital shelf position and product content — normalises it into one comparable view, shows teams what changed and what needs attention, and then automates the recurring analysis and reporting that follows.

Who is KLIKER for?

Brands, retailers, distributors and telecom operators — specifically their category management, pricing, trade marketing, e-commerce, key account and commercial leadership teams. It is designed as an everyday operational tool rather than a quarterly analytics exercise.

What problem does it actually solve?

The recurring manual work: checking retailer sites, comparing competitor prices by hand, collecting promotions, chasing stock status and rebuilding the same Excel report every week. KLIKER replaces that work rather than adding another dashboard on top of it.

Is KLIKER a dashboard or a data provider?

Both, and you can use it as either. Some teams live in the dashboard; others never open it and consume everything through scheduled reports, live Excel workbooks or the API.

How is KLIKER different from a standard price monitoring tool?

A price monitoring tool tells you what a price is. KLIKER connects price to promotion, availability, assortment, digital shelf position and product content, keeps multi-year history so you can see what changed, and automates the reporting that follows. The clearest differentiator is that it can deliver into the reporting workflow you already run — live Excel workbooks, scheduled reports, custom reports on your KPI structure, API feeds — instead of requiring your organisation to move into another dashboard.

Capabilities

Can KLIKER monitor retailer promotions?

Yes — mechanic, depth and duration, kept separate from the regular price and dated, so last year's campaign is still readable. Detail on promotion monitoring.

Can KLIKER track product availability?

Yes. Availability is tracked per retailer over time, including how long a stock-out actually lasts. See digital shelf analytics.

Can KLIKER monitor retailer assortment?

Yes — listings appearing and quietly disappearing, for your portfolio and for the competitive set. See assortment & market changes.

Can KLIKER track banner visibility?

Where the retail source supports it, yes — by brand, product, retailer, position and period. Coverage varies by source. See search & banner visibility.

Can KLIKER automate Excel reports?

Yes. A live Excel report is a workbook wired to the KLIKER database: press refresh and current market data replaces the old while your pivots, charts and formatting survive. An XLSX export cannot do that — it is a file, not a connection. See live Excel reports.

Can KLIKER provide data via API?

Yes, as an add-on. The API delivers the data you license into BI tools, ERP systems, data warehouses and internal applications. There is also an MCP server for connecting your own AI tools to your licensed data.

What is Digital Shelf Share?

How much of the visible online shelf your products occupy against the comparable set. Market share tells you what sold; this tells you what was there to sell. Defined in the glossary, applied in digital shelf analytics.

What is e-commerce price monitoring?

Automated collection of the prices retailers publish, matched to specific products so they can be compared and tracked. See price monitoring.

Data & coverage

How often is the data updated?

High-frequency market monitoring, with up to 7 data refreshes per day across licensed markets and categories. The exact frequency varies by source and by category. KLIKER does not describe its data as real-time.

Which markets, retailers and categories are covered?

Coverage spans online retail across EMEA and is licensed per customer. The relevant answer is the coverage list for your categories and markets, which is confirmed during scoping — ask for it explicitly.

Can you add a retailer or category we need?

Additional data sources are an add-on: extra retailers, webshops, marketplaces and categories. Feasibility and timing are confirmed per source.

How does product matching work?

Listings are matched on attributes and specifications rather than on product titles, and every match carries a validation state. See how the data works.

How far back does history go?

From the point monitoring began for that source and category; how much is included is part of your scope, and it can be extended. See how the data works.

What accuracy is guaranteed?

KLIKER does not publish a single accuracy percentage, since it could not hold equally across every source, category and market. What is described instead is the process: source-specific extraction, matching, validation states, history checks, a data-quality team and in-app tickets.

Reporting & integration

Can KLIKER produce the report we build manually today?

Yes — that is what custom enterprise reports are for. The KPI structure, retailer logic and layout follow your existing report so recipients do not have to learn a new format.

Can KLIKER feed Power BI or our data warehouse?

Yes, through the API add-on. Data lands in your BI or reporting infrastructure and your existing layer does the presenting.

What is the MCP add-on?

An MCP (Model Context Protocol) server that lets the AI tools your organisation already uses query the KLIKER data you license, through one standard connector. See KLIKER MCP.

Can we get alerts instead of reports?

Yes. Targets and notifications work inside the platform, and alerts can be delivered by e-mail so a change reaches the person who owns it.

Commercial

How many licences do we need?

Only for people who work in the platform directly. Everyone else can be reached with scheduled reports and live Excel workbooks, so seat counts are usually smaller than expected. Extra seats can be added individually or in blocks.

Can we start small?

Yes. A typical starting scope is one product, one market and the categories one team owns, then expanding markets, categories, seats or add-ons later.

What KLIKER does not do

Does KLIKER forecast sales?

No. It reports the observed market. It does not predict your volumes.

Does KLIKER set or change prices automatically?

No. There is no automated repricing. KLIKER supplies evidence; the pricing decision and the pricing systems stay yours.

Is KLIKER data real-time?

Market data is refreshed up to 7 times per day, considerably fresher than a single overnight snapshot. KLIKER stops short of a blanket real-time claim because the exact frequency varies by source and category — the published figure is an upper bound, not a guaranteed interval.
