Model Context Protocol

Your AI. Powered by KLIKER data.

KLIKER supports MCP (Model Context Protocol), so compatible AI assistants and agents can work directly with the e-commerce market intelligence your organisation licenses — through one standard connector, instead of a screenshot someone pasted into a chat.

Your AI shouldn’t have to search the web for your market data.

The usual workflow is find the data, export it, upload it, then explain it to the model. With KLIKER MCP the AI reaches the structured market intelligence directly.

What is KLIKER MCP?

MCP — the Model Context Protocol — is an open standard that lets AI models connect to external tools, databases and services in a uniform way. Instead of writing a bespoke connector for every tool, a service exposes one MCP server and any AI client that supports MCP can use it. KLIKER MCP is that server for your market intelligence: compatible AI assistants and agents query the markets, categories and retailers you license, under your own governance.

Why it matters: dashboards, reports and Excel remain how most work gets done today. But teams increasingly ask AI systems questions directly, and those systems are only as useful as the data they can reach. MCP means KLIKER market intelligence is available to that layer as structured data rather than as a screenshot someone pasted into a chat.

KLIKER provides the market intelligence. MCP provides the standardised access. The AI assistant or agent is your organisation’s — KLIKER does not need to provide your AI, and does not act autonomously on your behalf.

Built for today’s analysts. Ready for tomorrow’s AI.

Why this is different from “an AI feature”

KLIKER MCP does not put an AI product between you and your data. It puts your data within reach of the AI stack your organisation has already chosen and approved.

  • Your AI client — whatever your company standardised on
  • Your governance — the data stays scoped to your subscription
  • One connector — instead of a custom integration per tool
  • Same data as the API — no separate parallel dataset

“Which retailers dropped price on this category last week?”

Your AI client asks KLIKER MCP, gets the licensed data, and answers with the actual rows behind it.

“Summarise availability for our top 20 SKUs.”

The summary is produced by your AI, from your licensed market data, in your environment.

Examples are illustrative. What a given AI client can do depends on that client, not on KLIKER.

Questions

MCP FAQ

Does MCP mean KLIKER provides an AI agent?

No, and the distinction matters. KLIKER provides the structured market intelligence. MCP provides a standardised way for compatible AI systems to access it. The AI assistant or agent is whatever your organisation already runs — KLIKER does not supply one and does not act autonomously on your behalf.

Which AI clients can connect?

Any client that supports the Model Context Protocol. Because MCP is a standard, the connector does not have to be rewritten for each tool.

Can an AI client reach data we are not licensed for?

No. Access is scoped to your subscription in exactly the same way as the API and the dashboard.

What KLIKER data can be accessed through MCP?

The market intelligence in your licensed scope — prices and price history, promotions, availability, assortment and listings, digital shelf position and product content, for the markets, retailers and categories your subscription covers. MCP does not create a separate dataset; it is a different way into the same data.

Who can use it?

Customers whose teams already work with AI assistants or are building internal agents — typically data, analytics or digital teams setting it up, and commercial teams using it day to day. If your organisation has not adopted AI tooling yet, MCP simply sits unused until it does.

How is MCP different from API access?

The API is built for systems: your developers write the integration, and data lands in a BI tool, warehouse or internal application on a schedule you control. MCP is built for AI clients: it exposes the same licensed data through a standard connector that any MCP-compatible assistant can use, without a bespoke integration per tool. Same data, different consumer.

Do we need the API as well?

Not necessarily. The API suits systems and BI pipelines; MCP suits AI assistants and agents. Many customers license one, some license both.
